Email News:  Headweb email is changing

Please note we have upgraded to a new email server.
You may need to update your email settings to access and send Headweb emails.

Please read the following carefully:

Webmail Users:
If you currently use webmail then you will need to login at the following URL: https://mail.headweb.net
Your username is your full email address and your password will remain unchanged.
Note: We have left the link at the top of the page directing to the old webmail so that users can log in to view details (use previous login details)

Mobile or Email Client
If you use an email program such as Outlook, Thunderbird or a mail app on a mobile device you may see a message stating “cannot verify server identity” after the initial change has been made.  As long as “stackmail” is shown in the sender identity you can safely select “continue”, “trust” or “ignore” depending on the device you are using.

You can also change your account settings to the following to avoid this message appearing:

1/ Easiest is to just replace “mail.headweb.co.uk” with “mail.stackmail.com” in your email settings.  Using SSL and the standard ports will usually work fine.
However you may wish to use pop.stackmail.com for incoming and smtp.stackmail.com for outgoing.

2/ If you have difficulty you can try to following which may be better suited to some mobile devices:

Account type: IMAP
Incoming mail server: imap.stackmail.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.stackmail.com
Incoming server port (IMAP): 993
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL

For POP use secure settings: SSL and port 995

Edit mail servers for…
Outlook users:

In Outlook go to ‘File’ > ‘Account Settings’ > Double click your email address to open settings > edit the mail servers to read as follows: mail.stackmail.com  (or for pop incoming its pop.stackmail.com or imap.stackmail.com and outgoing is smtp.stackmail.com)

iPhone Users:
1/
Tap ‘Settings’ >  ‘Accounts & Passwords > Select Email address >  tap Email address >
2/
Under ‘INCOMING MAIL SERVER’ tap ‘host name’  then edit to read mail.stackmail.com
3/
Under ‘OUTGOING MAIL SERVER’ tap ‘SMTP’ > Under ‘PRIMARY MAIL SERVER’ Tap the server address and edit to read smtp.stackmail.com
