How do I ftp to my website?

You need to ensure you have the correct details entered as supplied by headweb. They will be:
Server www.mydomain.co.uk
Username: as supplied
Password: as supplied
Path: [leave blank]

If you are using ws-ftp, you will be able to enter this information on the front screen. For dreamweaver users, this can be found in the "site properties" window.

I'm getting connection refused when trying to FTP - what does this mean?

First off - check your details - is your username and password in lower-case? Is the domain correct? Are you connected to the internet? Is your FTP program set to 'Passive FTP'? Finally, are you running a firewall which is blocking access to your FTP software? All of these can cause problems. If you continue to get problems please call us on 0870 76 55 321.

What program should I use to upload?

Headweb recommends WS-FTP, which is freeware. You can download a copy from www.download.com. However, there are many FTP Packages on the market - it is up to you as to which you find most comfortable.

How do I view Stats?

You can view your stats by replacing www with webstats so for instance instead of www.mydomain.com go to webstats.mydomain.com. You will need your ftp login details to view them. When you log in you will see it says there are two sites - www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com - your stats will be on www.mydomain.com

How do I view webmail?

You can login from our webmail login page. All you need to know is your mailbox name (it is often youremail@domain) and password.
